Biography:

Second Lieutenant. Born 20th June 1890, only son of Frederick and Evelyn Haeffner, of 22, Netherhall Gardens, Hampstead, London. He was at Charterhouse [G] 1904 - 1908 and at New Colleg, Oxford. In the Great War he was commissioned into the Royal Field Artillery and served with 151st Bde. He was killed in action on 9th July 1916. His grave is at Cerisy-Gailly Military Cemetery, Ref. II. M. 7.
